When urban life collides with wildlife it’s typically the animal that loses. In a recent case, a mother possum had been hit by a car and died, but those nearby knew to check her pouch.
Their quick thinking saved eight baby possums, known as joeys, nestled safely inside. They brought the babies to the Seattle Animal Shelter, saving their lives. The joeys were transported to PAWS and may be able to be released.
