Owls are known as wise animals so it’s not surprising that one of them landed at Jane Addams Middle School near Seattle’s Lake City neighborhood. But physical education may not be its strongest subject.
Thanks to an eagle-eyed person who called the Animal Shelter for help, Animal Control Officer Kevin Mack responded to the school and saw the bird on the soccer field tangled in a net.
He carefully disentangled the bird and transported it to the animal rescue group PAWS. While the Animal Shelter cares for many domesticated animals, it usually partners with PAWS to shelter and rehabilitate wild animals like owls.
