The Seattle Animal Shelter sits at the ready to help the victims of Hurricane Harvey, whether through helping house animals or sending our volunteers or staff to help. We have been in contact with the national organizations that are on the ground, including the Humane Society of the United States and the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. We will let you all know as we find out how our assistance is needed, so please check this blog post for any updates. If you would like to be available to foster an animal through our organization, please apply via our website! Our foster parents will be notified first if our help is needed.
