Foster Critter Orientation at the Seattle Animal Shelter Oct. 12
Love critters? The Seattle Animal Shelter’s Critter Team is looking for volunteers to provide foster homes to all the animals the Shelter cares for that are not of the feline or canine variety, including rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, hamsters, rats and reptiles. The shelter often needs emergency foster homes for small animals due to illness, pregnancy or lack of room at the Shelter.
To prepare potential foster parents, the Shelter will host a foster critter orientation this Saturday, Oct. 12, 2-3 p.m. The session will be held in the upper level conference room of the shelter, located at 2061 15th Ave. W. The Critter Team will provide the training and some supplies; all you need is a quiet room and a willingness to help.
